Last year I discovered our program on Artsound in Canberra, and ever since have been meaning to let you know that it gives me more pleasure than just about anything else I listen to on radio - or watch on TV for that matter. My main musical interest is jazz (sparked by Brubeck's Jazz Goes to College, Garner's Concert by the Sea and the JATP series in the mid-Fifties - also The Four Freshmen); but the wonderful popular music that you play never palls - and of course it's even harder to find on radio than jazz. I'm sorry to have learnt that I missed 28 years of HPoY; but it's not surprising that a program of such high quality should be so durable. Thanks a million, Dave! (And thanks also to Artsound.)
